Who we are

We talk in church.

Our calling is to see church within walking distance of people in our city. Not a building — a neighborhood. Not a program — a conversation.

Every Sunday, five communities gather in Corner Coffee shops across Minneapolis. Same church family, five very different neighborhoods.

What Are You Remembering?

How what we choose to remember shapes our faith, our relationships, and the direction of our lives. Everyone remembers something. The real question is whether we're remembering the right things. In this episode, we explore the story of King Joash—a man who began with extraordinary faithfulness but slowly drifted after forgetting the people, promises, and faithfulness that had shaped his life. Along the way, we discover that in Scripture, remembering isn't just about recalling information. It's about allowing the truth of who God is and what He has done to shape how we live today. We'll talk about why we naturally cling to fear, failure, and shame, why God repeatedly calls His people to remember, and how simple practices can keep us anchored when life pulls us toward forgetfulness. Because what you remember today will influence the person you're becoming tomorrow.

However

Jehu's story is one of the most dramatic and unsettling narratives in Scripture. Anointed by God to confront corruption and bring judgment on the house of Ahab, Jehu acts with decisive courage—but his story doesn't end the way we might expect. In this episode, we explore the violent events of 2 Kings 9–10, wrestle with difficult questions about divine judgment, and examine the tension between obedience and ambition. Why does Jehu begin so well and finish so poorly? What happens when our zeal for God becomes mixed with our own desire for power, success, or recognition? Along the way, we'll reflect on Jezebel's downfall, the consequences of compromised worship, and the sobering reality that accomplishing God's purposes is not the same thing as having a heart fully devoted to Him. This conversation invites us to consider a challenging question: Are we pursuing God's will, or simply using God's will to pursue our own?
