CORNER CHURCH NORTHEAST

Our history with Corner Church goes back all the way to its inception in 2006. I (Rich) was attending Northwestern College at the time and knew Scott Woller from his time at Camp Lebanon. I began attending and serving in worship ministry with the newly planted Corner Church in the North Loop of Minneapolis. My relationship with Scott continued throughout the years and grew when I became the Director of Youth and Family Ministries at Camp Lebanon, which allowed for more connection between both ministries.

I (Anna) was also familiar with Scott through Camp Lebanon, and started working as a barista at Corner Coffee in the North Loop in January 2013. In July of 2013, I had the opportunity to become the manager of the Uptown location of Corner Coffee, known then as The Beat. I began attending Corner Church at that time. When Rich and I got married, we moved up to Central Minnesota to work together at Camp Lebanon, but our love for Corner Church never diminished and we continued to stay connected there.

Over the years, we have had a growing heart for the ministry of Corner Church and the people of Minneapolis. We resonate deeply with Corner’s mission to have a Christ-centered community within walking distance in every neighborhood in Minneapolis. Wherever we went, in life and geographically, there always remained a feeling in the back of our minds that we would be connected to this place again in the future. In late summer of 2020, God began the process of making that feeling a reality. We met with the rest of the Corner Church team and began planning for the next location. After lots of prayer and seeing God bring specific pieces into place, we heard the call to bring the gospel to the people of Northeast Minneapolis.
